Tens of thousands of West Australians gather to honor ANZACs

Ben Roberts-Smith spotted among dignitaries at Kings Park dawn service

Tens of thousands of West Australians have gathered at Kings Park in Perth to honor the courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs at the annual dawn service. The service was held at the State War Memorial, which is home to the Flame of Remembrance, a symbol of the eternal flame that burns in memory of all those who have served and died in war. The service was attended by dignitaries including the Governor of Western Australia, Kim Beazley, and the Premier of Western Australia, Mark McGowan. Ben Roberts-Smith, the former SAS soldier who is facing war crimes allegations, was also spotted sitting among the dignitaries.

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Kings Park was honored this year with the opening of the new State War Memorial. The memorial is a fitting tribute to the men and women who have served our country, and it will be a place of reflection and remembrance for generations to come.

The dawn service is one of the most important events on the Australian calendar. It is a time for us to remember the sacrifice of those who have fought for our freedom, and to recommit ourselves to the values of courage, mateship, and sacrifice that they embody.
